Join Our Unit

Twin Ports Division of the U.S. Navy Cadets, is currently seeking recruits between the ages of 13 and 17 and not yet a senior in High School. All potential sailors must be able to pass a sports physical that can be done by any licensed physician. The NSCC is also compliant with all ADA laws. No one will be denied admission to the NSCC/NLCC due to a medical disability. Where a medical condition precludes full, unlimited participation, a Request for Accommodation (NSCADM 001) may be presented by the parent or guardian for review so the recruit may conduct operations to the maximum extent possible.

Cadets are required to attend drill one weekend a month and attend one two week training every summer. All cadets are required to complete boot camp for their first training. Upon completing Boot Camp, they will be eligible to attend all advanced trainings. Our sailors wear the same uniforms as active U.S. Navy, therefor, we expect Cadets to act professionally while at drill and in uniform. If you decide to join our unit, you need to remember that "You are held to HIGHER expectations than the Navy and your peers outside of our division!"

During the summer, you have a multitude of choices for training such as SEAL, Diver, Field Operations, Music, Culinary Arts, Jag and Navy Legal, Seabee, aviation and Medical just to name a few. This is literally just the tip of the iceberg. If you wish to find out more trainings, contact us, and let us know what you would like to do and we will let you know if there are any trainings to fit your interest.

There is no obligation to go active in U.S. Military after your service in the Corps. However, if you wish to go active, you will be eligible to receive an advancement of your rank after completing Recruit Training. *REMEMBER* The first 3 ranks you get in the Corps. are your rank if you go active Navy or Coast Guard. If you choose not to join the military we have scholarship opportunities and we can help you qualify for ROTC or Military Academies as well as other scholarships from the VFW, American Legion as well as other Veteran organizations.

We invite you to attend a drill weekend and discover if this is right for you. We ask that the prospective cadet bring at least one parent to their first drill so we can hold a parental indoc and make sure this is right for the prospective cadet. Again, this is the real deal!
